Thank you for your interest in volunteering with NAMI Pierce County! Volunteers are essential to the work that NAMI does. Listed below are just a few of the ways that you can get involved in our mental health movement in Pierce County:
Dates & Locations: October 18th, 10am- 3pm- Tacoma Police Department
October 24th, 7:30am- 2pm- Tacoma Municipal Building
October 31st, 7:00am- 2pm- Tacoma Public Utilities
***Different Shifts Available. You are not required to work the entire event, unless you would like to.
Duties: Outreach Ambassador (Hosting a table at the event, handing out information about NAMI Pierce County and answering questions for event attendees)
- Community Outreach Around Pierce County
Time: Flexible to fit with your schedule
Location: Pick any city/area in Pierce County (Tacoma, Lakewood, Puyallup, Fife, University Place, etc.)
Duties: Drop off our flyers, brochures and business cards to different locations around Pierce County. A list of locations will be provided (hospitals, schools, health care centers, etc.)
- Board Positions & Chair Positions
Time: Flexible. Depends on position.
Duties: Participate actively as a member of our board by focusing on improving a specific aspect of NAMI Pierce County and support building the legacy of the organization. Interested? Fill our the form below for more details and an outline of open positions.
- Program Facilitator
Time: Flexible. Depends on program.
