A new episode of the NAMI Docuseries Strength over Silence features Cleveland Brown’s offensive tackle Chris Hubbard talking about mental health in his hometown of Columbus, GA.


During Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, which takes place each July, NAMI released its latest installment in its Strength Over Silence video series. The ongoing docuseries features perspectives on mental health from diverse communities. Through candid and courageous stories of lived experience, these mental health champions share their resilience and recovery, inspiring others to do the same.

Tackling Mental Health Stigma

The latest video features NAMI Ambassador Chris Hubbard, offensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns. Hubbard takes us on a journey back to his hometown of Columbus, Georgia, where he shares his story, the unique challenges of playing competitive sports, encourages young athletes to take care of their mental health and relays the importance of asking for help.
