Peer to Peer

 

  • Who is this for? Designed for individuals (18 and over) living with mental illness.
  • How long is this class? This class consists of ten two-hour sessions.
  • Who teaches this class? It is taught by a trained team of individuals living in recovery from mental illness.
  • What happens in the class? This class incorporates presentations, discussion and exercises.

“This peer-led course provides a confidential place to learn from shared experiences in an environment of sincere, uncritical acceptance. No specific medication or medical therapy is endorsed or recommended. Our Core Philosophy informs the course’s approach.”

“Participation in the course gives you an opportunity to gain tangible resources – personalized plans, strategies for potential events in the future and information – as well as a deeper understanding of your personal recovery process.”


ATTENTION:
Unfortunately, we need to postpone the NAMI Peer to Peer course start date due to some unexpected circumstances. The 10-week Peer to Peer course will NOT be taking place in September 2018.

Peer to Peer Class Wait List

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free, 10-session educational program for adults with mental illness who are looking to better understand their condition and journey toward recovery. This class is hosted by NAMI Pierce County. It is FREE to Pierce County residents. (Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.)
