NAMI’s The Brain Power Chronicles: Mental Health Stories is Looking for Cast Members!
|Everyone has a story to tell.
In 2017 NAMI Washington held their first-ever storytelling event –The Brain Power Chronicles: Mental Health Stories – an evening that featured individuals and families sharing their experiences with mental illness – powerful narratives at the intersection of mental health and the arts, demonstrating journeys of challenge, hope and healing.
Perhaps you will join the cast this year?
NAMI Washington is looking for participants for multi-session storytelling workshops from April to November, culminating with a live performance to be held at The Museum of Flight in Seattle on Saturday, November 9, 2019.
They are excited to announce that funds are available to assist with travel for rehearsals and the performance if you are a cast member living outside of Western WA!
Bill Bernat, an accomplished storyteller and friend of NAMI, has volunteered to lead this workshop series. You will hone your storytelling skills and develop and shape your story with a small group of fellow performers.
If you are interested in auditioning, please fill out an online questionnaire here.
Questionnaires will be accepted until March 12, 2019.
