NAMI Family-to-Family Education

12 week class begins in Fall 2019
on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m.

NAMI Family-to-Family Education

This is a free 12-week course taught by NAMI family members who, just like you, are caregivers of an adult loved one who has a mental illness. The class offers education about brain disease, medications, and appropriate treatments, and support for families and friends of adults suffering from a mental illness.

In this class you will:

* Gain insight into how mental illness affects our loved ones
* Take a look at current brain research and medications
* Find out how to become an advocate for the mentally ill
* Learn to cope with stress and focus on taking care of yourself

This class is a service of Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation and NAMI Pierce County.  It is free to the public.  (Space is limited.  Apply here.)
